Attorney Profile: Renee Mobbs

Renee is a native Vermonter who became a member of the firm in August 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Renee attended St. Michael’s College, where she studied English. She was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa in her junior year, and went on to graduate summa cum laude and Valedictorian of the Class of 2005. Renee then worked for a prominent local law firm for a year before enrolling at Vermont Law School. She graduated cum laude and received a Juris Doctor degree as well as a Certificate in General Practice in May 2009.


Renee sat for the Vermont bar exam in July 2009, and was admitted to practice in December 2009. She has clerked for the Vermont Department of Labor as well as a well known local real estate firm. Her practice at Bauer, Gravel, Farnham, Nuovo & Parker includes a broad range of civil matters, but she is particularly interested in business and corporate law, commercial transactions, health law and estate planning, and immigration matters.

Renee is a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the Chittenden Bar Association. She serves on the Vermont Bar Association Professional Responsibility Committee and the Non-Profit Corporation Act Revision Subcommittee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont YWCA.

In her spare time, Renee enjoys walking, hiking, and snowshoeing with her husband, Ryan, and their two Labrador retrievers, Remy and Ruger. At home, she loves to cook, knit, read, and spend time with her rescued cat, Oliver.
