Jonathan M. Stebbins

A native Vermonter with a background in the intersection between conservation and responsible development of natural resources, Jon brings a unique local perspective to the practice of Real Estate Law. After joining the Firm in 2001, Jon completed a four-year law registered law office study and was admitted to the Vermont Bar in June, 2006.

While Jon began his tenure in the firm’s litigation department, he has focused exclusively on real estate matters since 2003. He guides clients through every stage of residential and commercial transactions, specializing in state and municipal permitting, title searches, and complex title resolution. His background allows him to navigate land use and zoning permitting issues with ease, as well as assist with LLC formation and dispute resolution.

Jon serves his community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Richmond Land Trust and a Director for the Smugglers’ Notch Homeowners Association. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Vermont School of Natural Resources; prior to practicing law, he spent three years promoting the state’s ski industry with the Vermont Ski Areas Association.
Jon resides in Richmond with his wife, Emily, and their two daughters. True to his roots, he is an avid outdoorsman who spends his summers on the golf course and his winters on the ski slopes.
